As I have mentioned in my previous post, the six modules that I am taking are AX-3302, AX-3305, AX-4201, AX-4304, AX-4305 and MS-1501. The first thing I did after the 1st Week was creating a timetable and on the 2nd Week after everything was settled and confirmed, I created some sort of calendar in my notebook specifically for assignment’s deadlines. This was effective after some time then I was introduced to Google Calendar by Aqilah and thank God for Google Calendar, it made things much easier and convenient. I highly recommend!

October 2020: The Least Hectic Month

The first few weeks of the Final Year’s semester one were not that busy. The thing that I need to highlight and emphasise on is one of the modules where both Dr Lopes and Sir Osman supervise, which is AX-4304: Curatorship and Event Management. We were asked to choose which committee(s) we want to be in, we can also choose to be in more than one committee and we will be in that committee towards the end of the Final Exhibition. There are eight committees which are:

Executive Committee, Production, Design, Logistics, Publication and Editorial, Fundraising and Sponsorship, Marketing and Public Relations and lastly, Curatorship.

Guess which committee did I choose?

I chose the Fundraising and Sponsorship committee! Along with Ai (Azhar), Fatin, Dizah and Hazatul. Ai was appointed as the head and Ai appointed Hazatul as the committee’s secretary. I only chose one committee because I know I will not be able to contribute a fair amount of work if I were to join another committee. Not only am I pack with six modules, but the situation with the whole pregnancy thing limits my energy and time.

Since I am currently on my Final Year first semester, it is crucial to start planning and working on my Final Year Project. I decided to go with Creative Product meaning I will be producing a creative product for my FYP. I also chose fashion design as I am interested in designing clothes! The plan that I have mentioned to Dr Lopes was to produce a collection of matching family wear. He green lighted the idea and suggested a few things and things that I need to consider, which were:

  • Theme
  • Design
  • Limitations
  • Types of fabrics/materials
  • For everyday wear

As for my marriage life, I am forever grateful to have a kind-hearted and understandable husband with his continuous support towards myself, my studies and our pregnancy. We have been sticking to our home schedule ever since we were married, which is weekdays at my home in Rimba and weekends at his home in Sengkurong. Coincidentally, I do not have neither lectures or tutorials every Saturdays! But usually I spend most of my time working on my pending assignments. On Chapter Twelve, I will explain more on how I juggle assignments, committee works and appointments!
