Chapter Nine: Waddling.
The start of our Final Year’s first semester was around August 2020, which means I was entering the second trimester of my pregnancy. Some of my classmates realised the fact that I was pregnant because I was already showing and at the time I have entered the fifth month of pregnancy. The second trimester was bearable (at first) in compare to the first one with the constant cramps and migraines.
In regards to the number of modules, I decided to test my capability (again) for the third time by taking six modules. The six modules consist of five DCI modules and one compulsary breadth, which are AX-3302, AX-3305, AX-4201, AX-4304, AX-4305 and MS-1501. Why did I take MS-1501 during my Final Year you may ask? It is the least subject I am interested in and I know I am bad at it! 😭
I will talk more on my modules probably in Chapter Ten or Eleven. As of now, I will focus on the complication I have to deal with even to this day in relating to my pregnancy, which is SPD. What is SPD? SPD stands for Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction, a condition that was caused by moving my pubic symphysis too much. It happened right after I bent my upper body down while I was trying to wear my pants and the pain started. It was extremely painful.
I panicked at first, I thought something bad happened to my baby. As it turns out, SPD is pretty common during pregnancy. But not all pregnant women gets it, I am unlucky. Smh.
It has been almost two months I am experiencing this SPD pain and I think I am getting a hang of it although it makes walking, going up/down stairs or switching sides in bed merely impossible. Oh, have I mentioned that I am no longer walking like “normal”? I am what my friend, Effa, called it as waddling like a penguin.
